I have been taking my 2002 Camry in to Car Care for the past 10 years. A couple of weeks ago my car developed a noise from the right front wheel/axle, a noise I am familiar with because the car has been in twice before for the same repair: CV boot and axle repair. Prior to taking the car in this week, I called and spoke to Doug asking him his opinion about why the car might be needing a third right axle replacement in ten years. The short answer is: snow, dirt, etc., but good news is axle has lifetime warranty. Take the car in get the car $330 bucks. I asked what happened to warranty. No warranty because CV boot tore and dirt got up into the axle. I had no option but to go with the repair. My son then urged me to call back and tell the shop I wanted the old parts. Less than five minutes after calling and asking for the old parts I got a return call and was told although the manufacturer could not honor the part warranty the repair could be covered under a "customer satisfaction warranty" making the cost of the repair $189, but of course no return of the old part.

Called the shop owner, Doug, Friday morning stated my dissatisfaction with the entire episode. He laughed at me. I told him I would not be taking the car in again.
